If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community – and also make a difference to children, young people and families – you’ve come to the right place!

We rely on volunteers from all walks of life who bring different skills and experience to Wood’s Homes. As the demand for mental health treatment and support continues to grow, volunteers are increasingly vital to the work we do.

Note: All volunteers working directly with our programs are screened by way of Calgary Police Service and Children’s Services Intervention Record Checks.

Community Clinician - ECMHS

Eastside Community Mental Health Services (ECMHS) offers immediate, barrier-free and equitable mental health services. As a Community Volunteer Therapist, you will provide quality clinical services to the clients of Wood’s Homes. You will represent Wood’s Homes and ECMHS to community professionals, the public, and individuals and families. This is an in-person volunteer opportunity. System Navigation and Administration - ECMHS

Eastside Community Mental Health Services (ECMHS) offers immediate, barrier-free mental health services. As a System Navigator and Administrator, you will provide quality system navigation services to the clients of Wood’s Homes and support ECMHS with admin-related tasks. You will represent Wood’s Homes and ECMHS to community professionals, the public, individuals and families. This is an in-person volunteer opportunity.

Workshop Volunteer- Activities, New Skills, & Trade

Apply your specialized skills and become a Workshop Volunteer! As a Workshop Volunteer, you will bring your own skills and experience to host workshops for our New Horizon and Inglewood Opportunity Hub programs, serving young adults (ages 18-24). We are looking for artists, craft makers, fitness instructors, actors and musicians, makeup artists, writers and other skill-and experience-based teachers who will supervise and facilitate workshops for our clients.

Impact Days

Impact Day volunteer opportunities are an impactful way for you and your colleagues to team up and get involved in our community through direct assistance. Your team can make a huge difference in the community by joining us for a care kit pack, a campus beautification project, a group cook and much more!
