Exceptional Needs

The Exceptional Needs program is a crisis mental health program run in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS), as part of the AHS continuum of mental health care for adolescents and their families experiencing significant mental health issues that cannot be managed on an outpatient basis.

The program offers an intensive, trauma sensitive environment that is a family-centred service to help mitigate the need for hospital presentation and admissions by providing a stable bridge from hospital beds or the community back to home.

This program supports clients who have been discharged from Alberta Health Services in-patient hospital mental health units or from the Child and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health (CAAMHP) programs.
